What is a PTZ Camera?
Overview of BZBGEAR PTZ Cameras
PTZ stands for pan, tilt, and zoom. A PTZ camera can pan horizontally, tilt on a vertical axis, and is equipped with optical or digital zoom lenses. What is the difference between an optical vs. digital zoom? Optical zoom leverages the physical change in a lens to adjust the distance between the camera sensor and the subject. Digital zoom on the other hand uses magnification technology to enlarge an area of an image. Optical zoom levels can vary between different PTZ camera models. For instance, BZBGEAR PTZ cameras come in: 10x optical zoom, 12x optical zoom, 20x/25x optical zoom, and 30x optical zoom depending on the camera model.
A More Efficient Workflow
Some of our PTZ cameras also feature power over ethernet or PoE. Power over Ethernet provides power and a network connection to the camera with one category cable. When paired with a compatible network switch, you will not need an additional power source. BZBGEAR also has several NDI cameras available. NDI is an audio-video network protocol that allows a compatible device to send video and audio over a LAN connection. BZBGEAR cameras that support NDI are also PoE capable which means only 1 cable is needed for power, control, and video output saving you time and money by simplifying your setups.
Video Output and Streaming Flexibility
BZBGEAR PTZ cameras utilize high-quality components to ensure clarity and accuracy at all resolutions. Multiple, simultaneous outputs including SDI, HDMI, USB, and IP streaming are provided on some models for the ability to integrate with a wide variety of applications.
What is a Box Camera?
Overview of BZBGEAR Box Cameras
A box camera is a stationary camera that can be used to catch footage of one subject or area of interest. It also only zooms in and out and doesn’t pan or tilt, unless it is equipped with the ePTZ (Electronic Pan, Tilt, and Zoom) function. Box cameras are available with multiple output configurations including SDI, HDMI, USB, and IP streaming. These cameras have compact designs that allow greater freedom in camera placement.
Box Camera Applications
Generally, box cameras are simple and effective solutions for live streamers, artists, educators, advertisement professionals, product demonstrations, and small businesses. Box cameras also make excellent secondary cameras, enabling users to capture additional angles. BZBGEAR has a variety of modern box cameras available.
What are Auto-Tracking Cameras?
Auto tracking cameras are capable of following the current presenter or speaker in real time on their own, eliminating the need for an active camera operator. Auto tracking cameras allow users to walk side to side, move upwards or downwards and come in closer or walk away from the camera while still remaining in the frame. If you are looking to simplify camera operations and improve your overall workflow, take a look at our lineup of advanced auto tracking cameras. Generally, box cameras are simple and effective solutions for: live streamers, artists, educators, advertisement professionals, product demonstrations, and small businesses.
