Technical Description
The BG-USW-24 delivers reliable USB peripheral sharing between two computers while maintaining full USB 3.2 Gen1 performance. Four USB device ports can be dynamically assigned to either connected host, eliminating the need to manually disconnect and reconnect peripherals when switching between systems. With support for data rates up to 5Gbps, the switch is capable of handling demanding USB devices such as PTZ cameras, video capture hardware, USB docking stations, SSD storage, and other high-performance peripherals.
Built for integration into professional control systems, the BG-USW-24 supports three independent switching methods. Users can manually change hosts using the front-panel button, automate switching through RS-232 serial commands, or enable Auto Switching mode, which automatically transfers USB devices to the most recently active computer. The unit also features power-off memory, preserving both the selected host and Auto Switching configuration after power interruptions or system reboots for uninterrupted operation.
Each USB device port supplies a dedicated 5V/1A power output to ensure stable operation of connected peripherals while integrated over-current protection helps safeguard equipment from electrical faults. LED indicators provide immediate visual confirmation of the active host connection, and driver-free plug-and-play compatibility with Windows, macOS, and Linux simplifies installation.
