The BG-EXH-4KFE is a professional HDMI over fiber extender engineered to deliver uncompressed 4K@60Hz 4:4:4 video over distances of up to 10km (6.2 miles) using single-mode fiber. Supporting the full 18Gbps HDMI 2.0b bandwidth with HDCP 2.2 compliance and HDR pass-through, it provides exceptional image quality and signal reliability for mission-critical AV installations where copper cabling is no longer practical.

Designed for professional AV integration, the BG-EXH-4KFE combines long-distance video transmission with bi-directional IR, RS-232 pass-through, USB KVM extension, HDMI loop-out, advanced EDID management, and analog audio de-embedding. Its compact, durable metal enclosure and robust fiber-based architecture make it an ideal solution for broadcast facilities, control rooms, digital signage, enterprise campuses, and large commercial installations.

The BG-EXH-4KFE extends HDMI 2.0b signals over fiber while preserving full 18Gbps bandwidth for resolutions up to 4K@60Hz 4:4:4 without compression. Using single-mode fiber, the system supports transmission distances up to 10km (6.2 miles) while maintaining exceptional signal integrity and immunity to electromagnetic interference. For shorter installations, the extender also supports OM4 multi-mode fiber with compatible SFP modules, enabling transmission distances up to 300m (984ft). Full compatibility with HDCP 2.2 ensures reliable playback of protected 4K content, while support for HDR10, HDR10+, Dolby Vision, HLG, and up to 12-bit Deep Color delivers vibrant, true-to-life image quality.

Beyond video transport, the BG-EXH-4KFE incorporates comprehensive control and management features for professional system integration. Bi-directional IR and RS-232 pass-through allow remote control of source and display devices, while integrated USB 1.1 KVM extension enables remote keyboard and mouse operation for workstation control. Transmitter

  1. POWER LED: Red LED illuminates when the transmitter is powered on.
  2. LINK LED: Green LED stays on when a stable fiber link is established between TX and RX.
  3. IN LED: Green LED indicates an active HDMI input signal is detected.
  4. OUT LED: Green LED indicates an HDMI display device is connected to the loop-out port.
  5. EDID DIP Switch: Used for selecting EDID mode (copy RX/TX EDID or predefined HDR/SDR resolutions and audio formats).
