Its compact, durable metal enclosure and robust fiber-based architecture make it an ideal solution for broadcast facilities, control rooms, digital signage, enterprise campuses, and large commercial installations.

Features in Depth

The BG-EXH-4KFE extends HDMI 2.0b signals over fiber while preserving full 18Gbps bandwidth for resolutions up to 4K@60Hz 4:4:4 without compression. Using single-mode fiber, the system supports transmission distances up to 10km (6.2 miles) while maintaining exceptional signal integrity and immunity to electromagnetic interference. For shorter installations, the extender also supports OM4 multi-mode fiber with compatible SFP modules, enabling transmission distances up to 300m (984ft). Full compatibility with HDCP 2.2 ensures reliable playback of protected 4K content, while support for HDR10, HDR10+, Dolby Vision, HLG, and up to 12-bit Deep Color delivers vibrant, true-to-life image quality.

Beyond video transport, the BG-EXH-4KFE incorporates comprehensive control and management features for professional system integration. Bi-directional IR and RS-232 pass-through allow remote control of source and display devices, while integrated USB 1.1 KVM extension enables remote keyboard and mouse operation for workstation control. The transmitter includes an HDMI loop-out for local monitoring, making it easy to verify source content without affecting the extended signal path. At the receiver, analog audio de-embedding provides flexible integration with external amplifiers and sound systems.

Advanced EDID management simplifies compatibility between connected source devices and displays, ensuring stable signal negotiation across a wide variety of AV equipment. Combined with its compact metal construction, efficient low-power operation, and high resistance to electrical interference, the BG-EXH-4KFE delivers a dependable long-distance fiber extension solution for broadcast studios, command centers, digital signage networks, medical facilities, educational campuses, and enterprise AV systems.
