Easy To Use
Some of our HDMI/SDI IP cameras support PoE. PoE stands for power over ethernet. What power over ethernet does is provide power and a network connection to the camera with one category cable. If your HDMI/SDI IP camera supports PoE, you will not need an additional power source. This allows for a clean and simple set up.
PTZ Optical Zoom
Most of our SDI/HDMI IP cameras come in 3 different zoom models. Users can choose between a PTZ camera 10x, PTZ camera 20x or a PTZ camera 30x model.

What is an SDI camera?
An SDI camera is a live streaming camera that uses an SDI video connection to share footage or livestream. What makes SDI stand out is the lock in connection. Unlike HDMI, which plugs straight into your device, the SDI connection is locked in place. SDI is also a longer and sturdier cable than HDMI. This makes SDI cameras perfect for professional live streaming and broadcasting applications.

The BZBGEAR BG-UPTZ series cameras are truly universal and cover almost any possible application you can imagine. High grade lenses give you pristine image quality. The latest compression algorithms and diverse array of video outputs give you the ability to use these cameras with nearly any setup. From video conferencing and tele-education, to broadcasting events and streaming to multiple online platforms – you can do it all with BZBGEAR BG-UPTZ cameras.

If your camera will be connected to standard consumer-grade equipment HDMI is usually the connection of choice. HDMI is ubiquitous in modern A/V systems and is the most commonly used connection type.

If your camera will be used in a professional or live production setting SDI is the right choice. Most professional-grade A/V equipment utilizes SDI connections due to their increased reliability, durability, and transmission distance vs an HDMI connection.

PoE, or Power over Ethernet, allows your camera to be powered by a PoE enabled network switch. This eliminates the need for a power supply. If you’re utilizing the IP stream of your camera this means you only need a single ethernet cable to handle all power, control, and video connections.

The audio input of the camera will receive audio from an external source and embed it into the IP video stream, the HDMI output, the 3G-SDI output, and the USB output of the camera.


HDMI (High Definition Multimedia Interface)

When it comes to HD and 4K cabling standards in the AV industry, HDMI and SDI connections are the go-to standards, developed for both residential and commercial video distribution. HDMI is the most common type of cabling since we connect the majority of our home AV devices to our TV displays. Just like that cable box or DVD player we connect at home to our TVs, we will use the same type of HDMI output from a camera. Although you can connect it to a local TV, for most streaming scenarios you’ll likely connect this cable to a USB Capture Device or Video Production Switcher. This allows recording or capturing video with a computer using software programs like vMix, OBS Studio, Wirecast, or XSplit.

SDI (Serial Digital Interface)

SDI cabling is the professional’s choice for cable runs, typically chosen for long distances due to HDMI's limitations maxing out at 50 feet. SDI cabling is capable of long runs up to 330 feet over inexpensive coaxial cabling. Unlike HDMI cabling which easily comes loose, SDI cables are relatively simple to make onsite using BNC connectors that fasten in place. Be mindful when selecting SDI cabling though as there are three versions: 3G provides [email protected], 6G delivers [email protected], and 12G-SDI, the ultimate in SDI cabling, transmits [email protected]
