Overview

The BG-IPGEAR-LITE is a high-performance HDMI 2.1 over IP multicast system designed to deliver Ultra-HD 4K@120Hz 4:4:4 video over a Cat.5e network up to 100 meters (330 feet). With support for bi-directional IR, RS-232, and USB 3.1, this versatile solution ensures seamless transmission of high-resolution video and audio while maintaining compatibility with modern AV control systems.

This system is ideal for a variety of applications, including digital signage, healthcare, corporate AV, gaming, and large-scale video broadcasting. The BG-IPGEAR-LITE supports flexible point-to-point, point-to-multipoint, and multicast configurations, enabling scalable video distribution across multiple displays.

Features-In-Depth

Video Performance

At the core of the BG-IPGEAR-LITE is its HDMI 2.1 compliance, supporting uncompressed 4K@120Hz 4:4:4 video transmission. This ensures high-fidelity video reproduction with exceptional color depth and clarity, making it an ideal solution for applications such as digital signage, esports, medical imaging, and professional AV installations. The system fully supports HDR (High Dynamic Range), including HDR10, HDR10+, and Dolby Vision, to deliver enhanced contrast, brightness, and color accuracy.

The inclusion of Variable Refresh Rate (VRR) and Auto Low Latency Mode (ALLM) further optimizes performance for gaming and interactive applications, reducing input lag and eliminating screen tearing. These features make the BG-IPGEAR-LITE an excellent choice for applications requiring real-time responsiveness.

Transmission Technology

Utilizing standard Cat.5e/6 network cables, the BG-IPGEAR-LITE extends HDMI signals up to 100 meters (330 feet) without signal degradation. The system employs a proprietary low-latency codec (<1 frame delay) for real-time video streaming, ensuring smooth playback across all connected displays.

It supports point-to-point, point-to-multipoint, and full multicast configurations, making it a scalable solution for large AV deployments. Intelligent network management features, including IGMP Snooping and 802.1Q VLAN support, optimize multicast performance by preventing unnecessary network congestion.

Audio and Control

Audio Capabilities

The BG-IPGEAR-LITE supports uncompressed multi-channel HDMI audio formats, including Dolby TrueHD, DTS-HD Master Audio, and LPCM 7.1.

Additionally, the inclusion of eARC/ARC (Enhanced Audio Return Channel) allows for high-quality audio transmission from the display back to an AV receiver or sound system, enabling an immersive sound experience without additional cabling.

Control & Integration

This system is designed for seamless integration with AV control ecosystems. The main control interface is software-based. The inclusion of bi-directional IR and RS-232 control allows for remote device operation, making it compatible with third-party control systems.

The USB 3.1 Gen1 and Gen2 support enables connectivity for high-speed USB peripherals, including UVC webcams, keyboards, mice, and touchscreens. This feature makes the BG-IPGEAR-LITE an excellent solution for KVM (Keyboard, Video, Mouse) applications in corporate and command center environments.
