WHAT IS NDI®?
Network Device Interface (NDI®) is a high-performance AV over IP standard allowing anyone to use real time, ultra-low latency video on existing IP video networks. The NDI open protocol enables professionals to share video through a local area network (LAN) with video-compatible devices. With a single ethernet cable connection, professionals can merge all stages of production from start to finish resulting in all production tasks and processes being united. Now accomplishing a creative vision is easier than ever!
With the NDI 5.5 toolkit, users will also be able to connect any audio device as an NDI source with the NDI Audio Direct tool. This adds audio over IP to the NDI revolution.
WHAT IS NDI|HX?
NDI|HX is the first version of the NDI compressed bandwidth standard. To address the bandwidth problem users were having with the High Bandwidth standard, NDI implemented bandwidth compression. Simply put, the HX standard reduces the bandwidth needed to transmit a given amount of audio/video data in a given time.
Also, this reduces the time needed to transmit a given amount of audio/video data in a given bandwidth. Overall, this allows for NDI devices to be on a LAN without draining bandwidth.

WHAT IS NDI|HX 3?
NDI|HX 3 is an updated version of the HX2 standard. The difference is HX 3 provides better image quality and lower latency than HX2. NDI|HX 3 also uses slightly more bandwidth than NDI|HX 2, but the increase in bandwidth is not significant enough to be an issue. There is a limited amount of NDI|HX 3 compliant devices due to hardware limitations most NDI|HX 2 compliant devices have. Overall, NDI|HX 3 is the latest update to the standard and offers the best features.

This camera supports output up to 4k@60Hz resolution over SDI cabling. For storage, users can use the microSD to Record and store up to 1 TB of 4K video.
The BG-ADAMO-4KND has a counterpart known as the BG-ADAMO-JRND. While the JRND model provides all the same features, it offers a 1080p@60Hz resolution instead. Like the 4K series, the 1080p series also includes NDI|HX3 technology for network-based live streaming and video production.
