The EDID job is to read the information off a Display for the purpose of matching the sources which includes manufacturer name and serial number, product type, filter type, timings, size luminance, and pixel mapping. This is vital to ensure the source and display will be compatible for signal transmission and receival. When there is no picture, this may be the issue, referred to as EDID conflicts.

Power over Cat5e/6/7 refers to being able to power up either a Receiver or transmitter from one of the devices via a CAT5/6/7 cable, eliminating the need for two power supplies providing a convenient and clean install.

HDCP stands for High-bandwidth Digital Content Protection, a copy prevention technology directed at HDMI connections. Version 2.2 is the latest, designed specifically to prevent illegal copying of 4K Ultra HD content.

Utilize an array of connections for 3rd Party Control system including RS-232, LAN, IR and USB.

Ultra HD refers to a TV resolution of 3,840 x 2,160 pixels. That's four times as many pixels than in a full HD TV, a total of about 8.3 million pixels. Having so many pixels means a higher pixel density, and you should have a clearer, better defined picture.

The maximum bandwidth possible due to the introduction of HDMI 2.0. Prior to HDMI 2.0 was HDMI 1.4 limited to 10.2 Gbps. The new technology permits resolutions of [email protected] (4:4:4) while still capable of transmitting audio and control signals simultaneously.

(Audio Return Channel) Connection typically in the form of SPDIF (Fiber Optic) port on a Display responsible for returning audio from the HDMI input in which a Source is connected providing sound back to a Surround Sound receiver to amplifier for audio distribution.

HDBaseT - A global standard for the transmission of ultra-high-definition video & audio, Ethernet, controls, USB and up to 100W of power over a single, long-distance, cable using Category cable such as Cat5/5e/6/6a/7 with RJ45 connectors.

The BZ-UHD-66M70-ARC HDMI/HDBaseT Switcher distributes up to (6) Source HDMI inputs to (6) Display outputs for the distribution of video resolutions up to [email protected] (4:4:4) with HDCP 2.2 compatibility and HDMI 2.0 ports. It is capable of routing multiple digital audio formats to (4) HDBaseT outputs and two (2) independent HDMI 2.0 outputs from six of the HDMI sources. This Matrix Switcher transmits signals via one CAT5e/6/7 cable up to 230ft/70m. The individual HDMI outputs permit HDMI cables to extend up to 33ft/10m in distance. The unit features (12) independent inputs and (18) digital audio outputs with matrix with delay or volume tuning. The switcher enables High-Resolution digital audio formats like LPCM 7.1CH, Dolby Digital Plus, Dolby Atmos, Dolby TrueHD, and DTS-HD Master Audio and 3D video content pass-thru. Methods of control include front panel button, RS-232, IR, Telnet as well as Web GUI.
