BG-8K-HS41A Troubleshooting Guide
1. Basic System Checks
Before troubleshooting specific issues, verify the following fundamentals:
- Ensure all HDMI cables are certified and functional.
- For 4K@120Hz or 8K signals, HDMI 2.1 (48Gbps) cables are required.
- For resolutions up to 1080p–4K@60Hz, HDMI 2.0 cables are sufficient.
- HDMI cable runs longer than 50 ft (15 m) should use Active Optical HDMI cables to maintain signal integrity.
- Power-cycle all devices in the signal chain (source → BG-8K-HS41A → display/audio device) after making changes.
2. Picture and Audio Issues
If video or audio is missing, unstable, or incorrect:
- Confirm that every device in the system (source, display, AVR/soundbar) supports the selected video resolution, refresh rate, color format, and audio format.
- Verify that the EDID setting matches your system requirements.
- When checking EDID, include audio format compatibility, not just video resolution.
- Test with a lower resolution or simpler audio format to isolate compatibility issues.
- Disable unused features (such as ARC/eARC or CEC) temporarily to identify conflicts.
3. ARC / eARC LED Status Indicators
Use the ARC/eARC LED to diagnose audio return issues:
- On (Solid)
ARC/eARC is enabled, and both CEC communication and ARC/eARC audio are working properly. - Flashing
ARC/eARC is enabled, but CEC communication or ARC/eARC audio is not functioning correctly. - Off
ARC/eARC is disabled.
If the LED is flashing, confirm:
- CEC is enabled on both the TV and the connected audio device
- The HDMI port on the TV supports ARC or eARC
- Correct EDID settings are selected
4. EDID DIP Switch Settings

Use the EDID DIP switch to manually configure video and audio compatibility.
