AVoIP Troubleshooting: Resolving Common Issues
AVoIP Troubleshooting: Resolving Common Issues
If you have set up your AVoIP system but aren’t seeing any results, follow these steps before contacting technical support.
1.Double-check that all your connections are correct and secure. Refer to our diagrams, available on the product pages, for additional guidance. To find the diagrams, select a component of your AVoIP system, click the “Resources” tab, and select “See Diagram”.
2.If all connections are in order, yet you are experiencing communication errors between the units, ensure that the dip switches on your transmitters and receivers are configured correctly.
- Receivers: Confirm that all dip switches are facing upward on your receivers. This allows them to communicate with any of your transmitters. Any other configuration will restrict the receiver to looking for a transmitter with the same setup.
- Transmitters: Assign a unique dip switch configuration to each transmitter. This ensures that your receivers can identify them individually and establish a connection. Communication errors may occur if two or more transmitters share the same configuration.
If you've confirmed the accuracy of your connections and dip switch configurations but are still facing issues, please contact our technical support team. Ensure a smooth support call by having the following information ready:
- AVoIP Product: IPGEAR-4K or IPGEAR-PRO
- Number of Units: Transceivers or Transmitters/Receivers (Also, confirm the presence of a control box)
- Accessible IP addresses
- Source and display types
