Category cable: I can send HDMI signals 328 feet.
Optical fiber: Hold my cable.
Predominantly seen in the commercial world, there are long distance applications where CAT cables just won’t cut it. Some HDMI signals need to extend upwards to 3000 feet! That’s where a fiber optic extender comes into play, with its ability to transfer an HDMI signal as an uncompressed video signal for maximum performance retaining color depth, refresh rate, and transmission speeds.
Introducing the BZ-18GTX-Fiber fiber optic extender. It streams at 18Gbps in 4K Ultra HD @60Hz while keeping a chroma sampling of 4:4:4 to distances of 3300 feet (1000 meters) over single-mode fiber cable or 1000 feet (300 meters) over multimode fiber cable. Extending even farther, 1080p can reach distances up to 6600 feet (2000 meters).
The BZ-18GTX-Fiber is HDMI 2.0b, HDCP 2.2, and DVI compliant. For audio, it supports LPCM2/5.1/7.1 CH, Dolby Digital, Dolby True HD, DTS, and DTS-HD Master Audio. For control, it supports bi-directional infrared control and RS-232 sign transmission.
