Next-Gen 4K Auto-Tracking PTZ Camera Now NDI®|HX 3 Certified
Award-winning BG-ADAMO-4KND validated with newest NDI standard offering superior quality and lower latency.
BZBGEAR®, a worldwide one-stop source manufacturer of broadcasting and pro AV equipment based in Sacramento, CA, has received NDI®|HX 3 certification for their award-winning 4K auto-tracking PTZ camera: the BG-ADAMO-4KND. The NDI|HX 3 certification authorizes the BG-ADAMO-4KND as an official NDI|HX 3 PTZ camera.
NDI|HX 3 is the latest network-based production standard by NDI® offering greater image quality and lower latency than the NDI|HX 2 standard. There are a limited number of PTZ cameras with the NDI|HX 3 standard, making PTZ cameras with NDI|HX 3 finite. "Our next-gen Adamo PTZ camera deserves the latest and greatest for the best possible broadcasting and live streaming experience," said Eugene Bocharov, co-founder and CEO, BZBGEAR. "We are truly proud to be partners with NDI® and now, officially, NDI|HX 3 certified."
The AI auto-tracking BG-ADAMO-4KND outputs 4K@60Hz and supports HDMI, 12G-SDI, USB 2.0, USB 3.0, and LAN. It sports LED tally lights, a microSDXC card writer with 1 TB capacity, and Power over Ethernet (PoE) while being offered in 12x, 25x, and 31x optical zooms. Control the Adamo with RS-232, RS-422, web GUI, IR remote, or control app BG-PTZ-Control—a free BZBGEAR proprietary PTZ control software for Windows, Mac, and iOS.
The NDI|HX 3 standard engages the H.264 video compression standard or HEVC encoding/decoding to reduce bit rates significantly. This makes NDI|HX 3 ideal when network bandwidth is limited. Data compression allows NDI|HX 3 cameras to produce high-quality video streams at low data rates.
NDI|HX 3 has a bandwidth of 80 Mbps at 1080p60, 95 Mbps at 4K30, and 120 Mbps at 4K60. These bit rates are significantly lower than the bit rates of the NDI High Bandwidth standard and slightly higher than the bit rates for NDI|HX 2. Other key features of this standard include bi-directional device control and employment of GOP technology to produce more keyframes resulting in more data and higher picture quality.
NDI|HX 3 devices also do not require FPGA and instead support an ARM-based solution. This results in NDI|HX 3 devices being more cost effective while having lower operating temperatures and lower power consumption.
The BG-ADAMO-4KND auto-tracking PTZ camera is available now with a starting MSRP of $2799.
About NDI®
NDI® (Network Device Interface technology), is the globally standardized video-over-IP technology that enables IP video workflows across standard Ethernet networks, which advances our customer's software-driven IP workflows. It allows video and audio sources to be shared bi-directionally across a network, eliminating the need for costly direct connections, expensive cable runs, and infrastructure upgrades while turning every source into a destination instantly available anywhere on the network—enabling our mission of "moving video, moving the world." NDI® is in the hands of millions of customers using applications and devices that are NDI®-enabled and has been adopted by more media organizations than any other IP standard, therefore creating the industry's largest IP ecosystem of products and the rapidly expanding number of companies enabling IP-based customer workflows.
