Variable Refresh Rate (VRR), Auto Low Latency Mode (ALLM), and Quick Frame Transport (QFT) are gaming-focused features associated with HDMI 2.1 that collectively enhance the gaming experience. VRR synchronizes the display's refresh rate with the game's frame rate, eliminating screen tearing and stuttering, resulting in smoother gameplay with reduced input lag. ALLM automatically optimizes the display for gaming when a compatible device is connected, minimizing input lag and ensuring responsive gameplay. QFT minimizes frame transmission time, further reducing display latency, which is crucial for fast-paced gaming, enhancing overall gaming responsiveness and immersion.
These features collectively provide a seamless and lag-free gaming experience, particularly valuable for competitive gamers. To utilize these features, both the gaming device and the display must support HDMI 2.1 and these gaming-specific technologies.
