We are living in a hands-free world today. Everything set to auto, making it just a bit easier to get through this thing we call “life.” Toilets? Just handle business and go. Cars? Not only will all transmissions likely be automatic in the near future, cars now automate the actual driving—leaving the driver to…not drive. Does the person sitting shotgun relinquish navigator duties to said driver now?
The convenience of hands-free and automation is very much appreciated in the AV world as well. Mixed environments that include devices with different specs and resolutions can pose a problem. Luckily there are HDMI scalers that can upscale or downscale resolutions to ensure all devices are working together smoothly. Even luckier, there are HDMI scalers that scale resolutions automatically.
The BZ-HDMI4K-SC HDMI auto scaler offers automatic selection for scalable formats from 480i to 4K@60Hz 4:4:4 at 18Gbps with frame converting support. It is HDMI 2.0 and HDCP 2.2 compliant and effectively solves resolution and EDID issues. It has one HDMI input and one HDMI output.
The BZ-HDMI4K-SC has adaptive de-interlacing and CEC bypass support. It extracts HDMI audio to multi-channel optical (SPDIF) or L/R analog audio. The HDMI auto scaler supports a wide range of audio formats: DTS-HD Master Audio, Dolby TrueHD, Dolby Digital Plus, and LPCM up to 192kHz.
As for control, the BZ-HDMI4K-SC has front panel buttons with an on-screen display, and available RS-232 control.
