In simple terms, the LINUX KERNAL is the bridge of communication between the user applications and the underlying hardware in the device. Also, a 4:2:0 16-bit HDR pattern generator that effectively generates user defined patterns of digital logic high/low signals or pulses being produced in the cables being tested. Finally, this unit features a multi-channel audio tone generator and an EDID (Extended Display Identification Data) reader. The EDID reader is a metadata format for a display device to describe its capabilities to a video source. As for the multi-channel audio tone generator, this feature is intended for measuring and adjusting parameters of audio equipment.
