The challenges of distance learning are creating pressures for universities and schools everywhere. As stay-at-home protocols continue for many, is our educational system prepared for an extended period of distance learning? How can students and teachers succeed without fear of exposure during a pandemic? Fortunately, schools already have a system established utilizing IP or RS232. The main solution to replacing in-person interactions is utilizing a high-quality camera.
Multipurpose BG-VPTZ-HSU series PTZ Camera
The BZBGEAR® BG-VPTZ-HSU camera series offers broadcast quality with advanced image processing technology perfect for virtual classrooms. These versatile PTZ cameras offer high-definition [email protected] video and audio ensuring clear communication during live streaming and conferencing.
The BG-VPTZ-HSU series sports a compact, eye-pleasing design that mounts to walls, ceilings, tripods, or desks. It has optical zoom ranges of 10x, 20x, and 30x. Educators can program angle presets to cater to their classroom layout. Say a teacher has two main locations, wanting the camera to point at the whiteboard and the teacher’s desk at any given time during a class session. Well, the BG-VPTZ-HSU cameras save up to nine presets. Their all-aluminum design with stable chassis results in ultra quiet panning, tilting, and zooming. Users will definitely enjoy controlling the camera with its accurate stepper motor drive.
The BG-VPTZ-HSU series streams using simultaneous video outputs including HDMI, 3G-SDI, LAN, and even USB 2.0. This versatility provides solutions for virtually any scenario. Native support simplifies broadcasting live or recorded streams via Zoom, Skype, YouTube, Google Classroom, and Facebook.
The HDMI and 3G-SDI connections are designed to send outgoing video signals to display monitors and streaming encoders. The USB 2.0 port is great for connecting to a computer for software applications such as Zoom, Skype, Echo360, VMIX, OBS, Google Classroom, and ProPresenter.
Control is easy using the included IR Remote or WebGUI for panning, tilting, and zooming along with Auto and Manual Focusing. Create scene presets for a speedy switch from something like a touch board to the presenter or the audience.
Connecting to a display, access the on-screen menu with the video out ports. The BG-VPTZ-HSU series features a multitude of options and settings via the WebGUI. Finding useful settings for PTZ operations, custom presets, and video/audio property adjustments is a breeze.
While the camera can be operated entirely using the WebGUI, for projects requiring precision PTZ control and presets, we recommend connecting the camera to a BZBGEAR or third-party Joystick Controller using either VISCA, ONVIF, PELCO-D, or PELCO-P protocols utilizing the RS232 or RS485 connections.
For long-distance control, the BG-VPTZ-HSU series offers ONVIF and VISCA IP Protocol technologies via the LAN port to connect to a local network switch or router. ONVIF simplifies pairing multiple cameras with a compatible joystick.
